The song captures post-New Year and summer vibes, taking us back to the dance floor once again by resurrecting Kwaito and reminding us that it is still a relevant genre in South Africa.
“I got inspired and fascinated by the Nigerian term Nyash, meaning ‘big booty’ whilst watching TikTok videos.
I had to skip these videos, spending quality time with my family and went on to produce the single during the festive season,” said OGK4Lyf.

Although the title Nyash is in Pidgin/Yoruba, the song is written in three languages – IsiZulu, English, and SeSotho – to accommodate the masses.
It is heavily influenced by amapiano’s hard-hitting log drum and a mixture of an old-school distinct Kwaito sound, making New Age Kwaito a force to be reckoned with.
Tracklist:
1. Nyash (Radio Edit)
2. Nyash (Instrumental Version)
The single will be available for streaming on digital platforms from January 30.
