WATCH: Junior Spinners lost 3-0 to Jealous Down

Kwa-Thema – Junior Spinners took on Jealous Down on Saturday at the Kwa-Thema Sports Complex.

This was an Eastern Local Football Association league U17 game. The game ended 3-0, with Jealous Down winning the game.

The win for Jealous Down came after Sibusiso Masilela scored a hat trick and Fernando Msipha made eight goal saves.

The Spinners started the game on position two of the log. Spinners coach Sello Mawane said he was disappointed at his team’s performance.

“I am not sure how things stand currently on the log. However, with the boys’ performance, I wouldn’t be surprised to find that we are now in the third position,” said Mawane.

Both teams received a yellow card and Jealous Down had three offsides.

Jealous Down coach, Christopher Mtshali said, “Our team gave a good performance which is the result of the commitment shown during the week in practice.

“I am happy with how they played, which was better than previous games.”

After the win, Jealous Down moved from position five to position four, with two games at hand before the end of the season.

Down has a chance to move up and end the season in the third position, should they win the two games.
