WATCH: Kwa-Thema’s film production company by the youth for the youth

Kwa-Thema – A young upcoming artist has launched his own production company, Rellex Films.

The company, founded by 19-year-old Thokozani “Teekay monati” Duba is aimed at encouraging the youth to showcase their talents.

“I saw this as an opportunity as there’s a lot of talent in Kwa-Thema with no local production companies,” said Duba, who is a Tlakula Secondary School matric learner.

“This company will assist the youth to showcase their talents in and out of Kwa-Thema. I only work with the youth up to 25 years,” said Duba.

Duba said he’s worked with Siya Mzizi, Themba Sibanyoni who plays Danger in Diep City and Mfundo Ngcobo.

The company has now produced Felo the Skhothane and Again and Again. Duba said they rehearse on weekends from 10:00 to 15:00 at Maile Street in Kwa-Thema.
