City to assist small businesses to register for commercialisation

The metro is inviting residents to a business workshop.

The City of Ekurhuleni in partnership with the Gauteng Department of Economic Development will be hosting Enterprise and Supplier Development (ESD) open days across the city.

The campaign will run from October 18 to November 3.

The main objective of the programme is to workshop owners of small businesses on how to formalise and commercialise their businesses to gain access to a wider market and accelerate the formalisation of township businesses by at least 30% in 2030.

The programme will be held in an open-day format.

This will give government agencies an opportunity to hold workshops for small business owners and informal traders on supplier development services available, product testing, accreditation and certification, business compliance and how to access funding for small businesses.
