Spike in crime in Duduza

Trio crimes on the rise.

Duduza – Police are concerned about the spate of robberies happening in the area in recent weeks.
These also include trio crimes (hijacking, house robbery and business robbery).
On Friday, a 40- year-old woman was hijacked in Phumula Mqashi section.
It is reported that the victim was visiting her sick mother and had left her car parked outside the yard.
She was approached by two armed men.

Duduza crime stats revealed

They allegedly dragged her out her Hyundai I20 and drove off with it.
In another incident, on Saturday evening, a 40-year-old man was attacked by two unknown men at his tuck shop.
The armed suspects had their faces covered and managed to flee with R16 000 in cash and four cellphones worth about R14 000.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have credible information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects to call the police on 011 810 6093 or the police crime stop number on 08600 10111.
Police are investigating cases of hijacking and house robbery.
