“We wanted to give back to the community that has nurtured, uplifted and supported us for many years. And we thought what better way to give back is by uplifting the young girls in our community.
“So many girls are still faced with the challenges of access to sanitary towels. Our aim is to ensure no girl child is stressed because of pads,” she said.

Community members who contributed to the campaign, Loretha Phala and Lethabo Nongca.

She added that going forward they would like to expand their initiative to the community at large.
She has requested the community to contribute to the programme by contacting her on 079 770 6174 or 078 199 9378.
