Former MMC of Health and Social Development donates to school learners

Former MMC of health and social development, PR Clr Charlotte Zitha donated sanitary towels to local schools.

Kwatsaduza – PR councillor Charlotte Zitha donated sanitary towels to 250 girls in schools in Kwatsaduza on Tuesday.

PR Clr Charlotte Zitha donated sanitary towels to Tholukwazi Secondary School in Tsakani, Brakpan and Lifa-Ifa Secondary School in Kwa-Thema.

She was joined by Ekurhuleni regional chairperson Ramosele Sethibe, regional secretary Siyanda Makhubo, Clr Mokoena and Ekurhuleni region Auctioneers.
The beneficiaries are from Tholukwazi Secondary School in Tsakani, Brakpan and Lifa-Ifa Secondary School in Kwa-Thema.

The former MMC of Health and Social Development explained that Kwa-Thema and Tsakani are her constituencies and this is one of the projects she has planned.
“The drive forms part of the Social Distresses assessments before the 2021 Local Government Elections where school governing bodies informed ActionSA of some of the challenges and barriers faced by girl learners from attending school.
“I decided to approach local business people who offered to sponsor the sanitary towels,” she added.
“The drive will see much of Ekurhuleni learners and schools benefit from the initiative,” said Zitha.
