Kwatsaduza – Nosiphiwo Imani Rubu-Maaba has added published poet to her name.
The 18-year-old has published a poetry anthology titled Masqueraded Emotions.
She started by writing short stories on Facebook under the banner Scripted by Nosiphiwo Imani before fully venturing into writing professionally.
“I was inspired by poetry by the late Maya Angelou. It started as a hobby, but the passion manifested into something greater during the years leading to the decision to pursue writing as a full-time career.
“I have since grown into an author, published poet, editor and singer-songwriter,” she explained.

Her favourite things include reading, music, watching series and spending time with her loved ones.
“My biggest dream is to see myself grow into the media and entertainment industry. Not only as a poet and singer but also as an award-winning actress, model, screenwriter, film producer and director.
“I believe in the saying shoot for the whole universe, not just the stars to bring to life your greatest heart’s desires,” she said.
