Kwa-Thema – A man was fatally shot in his home in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Police responded to a call on radio control about a shooting on Nhlapo Street in Ext 3.
Upon arrival at the scene, the deceased’s wife told the responding officer that she heard the gates open and a car drive into the yard just before 03:00.

“After the car parked, she heard noise in the yard and went to investigate.
“An unknown man threatened her outside with a gun and ordered her to go back in the house, which she did,” explained Constable Nkululeko Magudulela, communications officer of Kwa-Thema SAPS.
The woman then heard three gunshots and went back outside.
“She found her husband on the ground,” added Magudulela.
He sustained gunshot wounds to his stomach and knee, and was declared dead by a paramedic.
An undisclosed amount of cash was taken from the deceased.
