Kwa-Thema – Police are investigating a case of hijacking and murder after an e-hailing driver was shot and killed at the corner of Linhle and Ramphele streets on Friday evening.
It is alleged the driver was waiting to pick up a client when an unknown number of gunmen forced the driver out of his white Hyundai Accent.

The driver attempted to fight back and was shot in the chest.
Kwa-Thema police spokesperson Const Nkululeko Magudulula said police arrived on the scene and found the lifeless body of a man.
“The suspects drove off in the stolen car which was later recovered after it was abandoned along Lintle Street,” he explained.
