Certificates were awarded to participants during a ceremony at Kwa-Thema Hall.

“This is a four-day entrepreneurship course where we teach the recyclers basic business principles of recycling. We work with municipalities where they assist us to get people into this training,” said Sololo.
It also provides more information to people already involved in recycling or those venturing out in this field.
“I have been dealing with an awesome group who were eager to learn and I wish them all the best with their small-scale recycling businesses.

“I am proud of each one who participated in the programme. All have passed and we are handing over their progression certificates, hoping they go far with their businesses,” said Sololo.
Baloyi said he is inspired by how the programme has shaped everyone involved in recycling.
“Our communities have been through a lot, especially businesses during the pandemic. A programme that wants to shape communities brings us hope. I wish them all the best in this venture,” said Baloyi.
