Langaville – A group of residents in Extension Seven have taken it upon themselves to clear a blocked manhole in the area after noticing it was always blocked.
Resident Dumisane Phakathi said the sewage pipes get blocked by all the water and dirt directed into them on rainy days.

“It then flows into the homes nearby, and residents cannot access the passage leading to the main road.
“We felt the need to clean it and not wait for the municipality to eventually respond to our requests,” he added.
Collen Msibi added they are requesting tools like spades and wheelbarrows, as they don’t own any.
