Avoid turning graveyards into dumping sites

The City has embarked on a campaign to clean and remove waste at all the illegal dumping sites.

Tsakani – Residents are urged to refrain from turning cemeteries into dumping sites.
In a statement released by the City of Ekurhuleni, the municipality explained that a cemetery is a sacred and dignified final resting place for the departed.
The area should be treated with the respect it deserves.

The City has embarked on a campaign to clean and remove waste at all illegal dumping sites.
Residents are reminded that according to Waste Management By-laws, anyone who illegally dumps waste is liable to a fine of R2 000.
Residents are urged to make use of the 240l wheelie bins provided by the municipality for waste disposal purposes.
