The Masimong Foundation donated grocery hampers to 50 families in Kwa-Thema last Tuesday at the customer care centre.
Led by Sandi Teke, the organisation believes giving back makes a difference in the lives of South Africans who are impacted by unemployment and poverty.
“We are all aware that 2020 and 2021 have been difficult, as we try to adjust to living with Covid-19 and its challenges.
“It is during this time that foundations like ours must stay focused on assisting communities wherever possible,” explained Teke.

The foundation extended their heartfelt gratitude to Peter Nkambule, the Kwa-Thema precinct commander for always providing them with a venue for their projects.
“We recognise that people have lost jobs, we recognise that people’s health has been adversely impacted and we recognise that a lot of activities, including commercial and business activities have been disrupted.
“It is during this time that communities must look after each other and assist where possible,” she continued
The foundation is part of Masimong Group Holdings and through its investing companies and other related stakeholders, supports several projects in different parts of South Africa.
These include educational projects, food parcel distribution, healthcare projects and more. The aim is to uplift, empower and inspire.
“The Kwa-Thema community is close to our hearts at the foundation; hence we try to assist where we can,” she added.
