Man’s body found in sack on roadside

Duduza – The body of a man estimated to be around 30 years old was found along the Nigel-Dunnottar Road in the early hours of Monday morning.
Const Robert Malete of the Nigel police found the body wrapped in a white sack and informed the patrolling team in the area.
The officer noticed the suspicious-looking sack along the road and decided to investigate.
Duduza police spokesperson Sgt Harry Manaka said upon investigation, the officer found a body and immediately contacted the local police.

“The tightly wrapped sack was printed with ‘Elias John’ in black marking pen.
“The deceased was found with bruises on his chest and was wearing a blue jacket, a blue jersey, a brown T-shirt, brown trousers, an orange knee protector and black water boots,” he explained.
The man was certified dead on scene, and police have opened an inquest docket.
They are calling on anyone with information about the identity of the deceased to come forward.
