Commuters can now find these taxis at Duduza Rank (Main) in Kwa-Thema. A single trip costs R60.
Chairperson of the organisation Jabula Motha said proper transport infrastructure is one of the most important factors for a community’s progress.
“This is a good development and investment not only for the greater public but the association as well.
“As it stands, we pride ourselves in providing efficient transportation services to our people, and this new development proves that.

“We are hoping the community will be as excited as we are about this new journey,” said Motha.
He added that commuters previously had to go through Germiston for these services.
“This new route will benefit a lot of our residents, especially students and those who work in Vereeniging and Heidelberg.”
The association’s deputy secretary, Thokozani Mkhize, emphasised that residents stand to save a great deal.
“What matters the most is that people will now be able to save and use their money on other essentials.
“We aim to ensure our commuters can go about their business safely and without having to spend huge amounts of money on transport.
“We are delighted to be introducing this new route and encourage the community to come to us should they have any questions,” he said.
