Boitumelo dreams of being crowned Miss World

“I want to change that mindset and give hope to other young people that they too can do it if they set their minds to it.”

Duduza – Fifteen-year-old Boitumelo Wilson is going after her dreams of one day being crowned Miss World.
She is currently a finalist in the Miss Teen Grand South Africa.
The crowning will be held in February next year.
The Grade Nine learner from Duduza said she decided to enter the beauty competition to inspire her peers in her community and neighbouring townships.
“It is unfortunate that I grew up in a place where dreams are crushed due to circumstances and low self-esteem.
“I want to change that mindset and give hope to other young people that they too can do it if they set their minds to it.

“I want them to know that everything is possible if you work hard to achieve it,” she added.
Boitumelo said she used to feel insecure about herself but with the support of her family and friends, she managed to build her confidence for the better.
“I was crowned as Miss Face of Spicy Model and Miss Duduza in 2018. This is where I decided to reach for my dreams of one day being crowned Miss South Africa and Miss World,” she added.
Her dream for the future is to become a political lawyer and serve her country.
She added that her hobbies include reading, cooking with her grandmother, playing netball and watching movies.
