The college identified the learners through the Department of Basic Education’s district office. “We understand that due to Covid-19 many people have lost their jobs and are finding it hard to provide for their families. We thought of identifying affected households to help lessen the burden. “We also identified that due to the school attendance rotations, many of the children who depend on the school nutritional programmes are affected badly when they are not in school. “We then decided to share breakfast meals to ensure they have the most important meal of the day,” he added.
