Police call for more Covid-19 vaccinations

More than 350 000 people countrywide were vaccinated over the weekend during the drive.

Tsakani – Local police partnered with the Andries Raditsela Clinic to encourage residents to vaccinate.
This was part of the Vooma campaign launched by President Cyril Ramaphosa to motivate more citizens to get vaccinated against Covid-19.

Tsakani police spokesperson Sgt Lerato Mngomezulu said they decided to heed the president’s call since many people frequent the station for different reasons.
“It made it easy for us to play a role of awareness on different situations that are points of concern such as GBV, drug abuse and the Vooma drive,” she said.
