Associations re-open Duduza to Kwa-Thema route

This comes after the route was closed three years ago due to undisclosed disputes among taxi associations.

Kwatsaduza – The partnership between the Springs and Nigel taxi associations has yielded positive results.
The two structures have relaunched the route from Duduza to Kwa-Thema, starting from October 1.
This comes after the route was closed three years ago due to undisclosed disputes among taxi associations.
Residents will now be able to save costs and time with the re-introduction of this transportation service.
Commuters can find these taxis at Majola Rank (Duduza Rank) in Kwa-Thema, Nala Street Rank and Extension 15 Rank in Duduza.

The route will be via Gibela and will cost residents R15 a single trip.
Nigel Taxi Association public relations officer Moses Mekoa said community members have been pleading with the associations to have the route operating again.
“We have been receiving complaints since the closure of this route. People were also complaining about the amount of money they spend travelling from Duduza to Kwa-Thema and vice versa.
“Previously they had to catch about three taxis for a single trip.
“Therefore, we are delighted to be re-opening this route as we know it will benefit our people,” explained Mekoa.
