“Our mission is to educate the general public about the importance of vaccination, more especially the youth.
“Through the campaign, we are providing information on what a vaccine is and why we should all take one so that the youth can have the knowledge and better understanding about what vaccines are used for and why they are developed,” said Webster.
The event coincided with a women empowerment dialogue that was taking place at the centre.
Adams urged young women to get vaccinated.

Community activist Kumesh Adams urged the youth to get vaccinated.

“We believe that as young people we must be at the forefront in rebuilding our country and also in getting back to our normal lives.
“Covid-19 has badly affected us as young people as we continue to battle with high levels of unemployment.
“Businesses have been affected as they were not able to operate or function to full capacity which has resulted in some having to shut down,” she said.
They are active on social media under the campaign #WeAreYoungAndReadyToVaccine.
Currently, they are recruiting other youth organisations, health promoters and social workers to join the campaign.
