Tsakani – A 31-year-old man was arrested for reporting a false hijacking case on Saturday.
The man reported that he was robbed of his car at gunpoint on Friday in 12B.
Tsakani police spokesperson Sgt Lerato Mngomezulu said the car was found by police and the person who was in possession of the vehicle was arrested on Sunday.

“The investigation revealed that the complainant was involved in an accident where it turned into a road rage incident. He ended up abandoning his car at the scene and his friend took the vehicle to his place.
“The suspect was charged with perjury and will appear in the Tsakani Magistrates Court soon,” she said.
