Pastors pray for calm and peace

“I believe there are other avenues that we can explore to voice our dissatisfaction other than looting."

Kwa-Thema – Pastors of the Kwa-Thema Ministers Fellowship (KTMF) are calling for peace and calm.

They were responding to the chaos, looting and destruction of infrastructure that spread from KZN to Gauteng’s townships last week.

Past Siza Dhladhla of Christocentric Ministries said people are destroying the same stores and infrastructure they depend on daily.

“I believe there are other avenues we can explore to voice our dissatisfaction other than looting. This is not going to help us with anything but rather take us many steps back.

“Young people are now going to have criminal records because of this, damaging the reputations they have worked for over the years,” he said.

The ministers will be holding a daily noon prayer session for God to have mercy on the country and its people.

“We will also be praying for all the people who are called to serve, such as doctors, nurses, police officers, soldiers, politicians and business people,” he added.
