Duduza – Teboho Matyila, known as Flame Spitter, is a 29-year old rapper born and bred in Duduza.
Flame Spitter started as a pantsula dancer and in 2010 he formed the Duduza Most Wanted dance crew, which was the three-time SABC Stumbo Stomp champions.
He left the group to pursue his musical career.

“Inspired by Pro-Kid and Zola 7, I embarked on a musical journey and earned my street cred and respect.
“I shot my first music video for my song Ghetto Rough and was amazed by the support; the video had thousands of views.”
The Rea di Busa hitmaker went door to door and the streets to sell his mixtape.
“I sold over 3 000 copies. Hard work will always pay off. I’m grateful for all the support.”
The Duduza artist sees bagging the nomination as the first step to victory.

“Bagging a nomination in the Mzansi Arts ad Media Awards (MAMA) is a huge milestone for me. I hope I bring the award home.
“The awards ceremony usually takes place in Limpopo, here I am representing my township.
“I am very hopeful that I’ll take the award and the title of the best hip-hop artist.
“I want to make my family, friends and township proud.
“I want to be an inspiration to the youth who want to pursue music.”
