DJ Geezy creates opportunities for young creatives within Ekurhuleni

The organiser is looking for more than 50 young people from the community to work on the event.

Kwa-Thema – Local artists and entrepreneurs are invited to partake in the first Youth Cultural Festival on June 26 at Bahama.
The organiser is looking for more than 50 young people from the community to work at the event.
The event will cater for local clothing brands who want to showcase and sell at the venue and people who would like to set up food stalls.

The event is organised by local DJ Siphiwe Mabena, best known by his stage name Geezy.
“The event is all about youth empowerment, hosted by the youth.

“I am also looking for people who have an interest in coordinating the event to join me.
“I believe this opportunity will offer them basic events management skills.
“The main goal is to provide a platform for young entrepreneurs to showcase or sell their products or services,” said Mabena.

He added that this opportunity will help put artists on the map and bring local talent under one ‘roof’.
“Through the event, we hope to unite young people, create an opportunity to network, share ideas, learn and expose the art and talent we have in Ekurhuleni,” he added.
