Kwa-Thema police service centre moved to the canteen

The corridors roofing are a mess with exposed electrical wires and water leakages on rainy days.

Kwa-Thema – The Kwa-Thema Police Station Community Service Centre (CSC) has been moved to the canteen within the station.
This is after one of the offices was deemed unsafe for occupation by the Gauteng Department of Labour.

Const Nkululeko Magudulelo showed the African Reporter the exposed wires and the damaged ceiling.

The ceiling is collapsing in the office of the station commander, Col Mareketle Thobejane.
The human resource management offices and crime intelligence offices are also affected.
The ceiling in the corridors is also a mess, with exposed electrical wires and water leaks on rainy days.

The station’s spokesperson, Const Nkululeko Magudulelo, explained in a statement that the move to the canteen is to keep the community and staff safe.
“The doors to the CSC have been barricaded and the centre will be found in the canteen with the entrance along Habedi Street.

The Kwa-Thema SAPS Community Service Centre has been moved to the station’s canteen for safety reasons.

“Telephone lines have not been affected and any complaints will be attended to,” he explained.
The CSC will be run from the canteen until mobile offices are delivered to the station.
