Deceased: Phangisile Irene Maphosa (72), born on January 15, 1949, in Payneville died on May 15.
Education: Kwa-Thema Combined School, Kwa Phakama High School and Madadeni Training Centre in Newcastle.
Career: She attended Madadeni Training Centre before she started teaching at Sakhelwe Primary School.

Community: She was a pastor and co-founder of Ambassadors Faith Church. Maphosa later became an overseer of God of Breakthrough Family Church. A teacher at Sakhelwe Primary School for over 35 years, Maphosa also impacted a lot of community leaders, business people and professionals nationally.
Family: She is survived by her two children, a daughter-in-law, four grandchildren and a brother.
Funeral: The service was held at 9am on Friday at Back to God in Baduza Street. The cortège left for the Vlakfontein Cemetery at 11am, where she was laid to rest beside her husband.
