Fun walk, aerobics and charity drive a huge success

Three-hundred-and-seventeen toiletry packages were donated.

Duduza – Rivoni Foundation, Nkosinathi Mbonani Foundation and World’s Way WCL Church held a successful fun walk, aerobics and charity drive on Worker’s Day.
World’s Way Church was filled with community members on Saturday who came to receive and support the charity drive event.
The event was kickstarted with prayer and a fun walk around Zamani led by an aerobics instructor, Kamogelo Selepe.
Sanitary towels, facecloths, toothpaste, deodorant, soap and body lotion had been collected and packaged.
The fun walk was followed by aerobics and the distribution of the packaged sanitary towels and toiletries to boys and girls aged 12 to 17.
Mongezi Nkosi, the founder of Rivoni Foundation, was delighted that the event was a success and that people came through.

Riding in the hood for charity

The foundation has been doing drives in Kwa-Thema and Tsakani.
“I’m grateful to have given hope to the people of Duduza; this was the first charity drive by our foundation here.
“We are grateful to everyone who donated and assisted us in making a difference in the youths’ lives,” said Nkosi.
The community members were happy to see the foundations coming together for the good of the community.
Three-hundred-and-seventeen toiletry packages were donated, and they had a surplus of 40 packages.
It was all smiles on the recipients’ faces. They regard all those who partnered for the drive as their beacon of hope towards the improvement of the community.
“Seeing the smiles of the children was priceless, and we are planning to do more of these runs and drives throughout the course of the year,” said Nkosinathi Mbonani, the founder of the Nkosinathi Mbonani Foundation.

“I am so happy we helped people, we should look after our youth as they are the future of our country.
“We should contribute the little we have to make a difference. Changing one person’s life is a big thing.
“Giving to the under-privileged shows them they are important and we care,” said Pastor Themba Nkambule of World’s Way Church.
Rivoni Foundation will be having another fun walk and donation on May 29 in Devon.
