Kwa-Thema – Tlakula Secondary School learners recently received 200 sanitary towel packs from resident and founder of Dramaqueen apparel Mpho Hlophe.
She started the initiative to empower young girls.
“Hearing stories of how young girls struggle with sanitary pads was overwhelming.
“However, these stories have inspired me to want to do more, which is why I will be continuing with my efforts to try as much as I can to help,” she said.

She’s already planning to work with other local schools for her good cause.
“I am still welcoming contributions and donations from the public.
“I have already identified the next school to which to donate.
“I am waiting for schools to reopen so we can move forward,” said Hlophe.
