Netball teams encouraged to register for league

The tournament will take place on May 8 at Mehlomakhulu Park from 8am, with the competition starting at 9am.

Kwatsaduza – Local teams are urged to register for the upcoming Kwatsaduza Netball Development League.
The organisers explained local teams haven’t registered as they are unaware of the league’s existence.
The tournament is open for u-13, u-15 and u-17 teams, and will take place on May 8 at Mehlomakhulu Park from 8am, with the competition starting at 9am.
A registration fee of R75 per team is charged.

League conveyor Jane Mayisa is pleading with teams to use this opportunity.
“This league is open to all local netball teams within Kwatsaduza.
“We aim to not only promote the sport but to also offer development to the young players.
“Netball might be slightly overlooked, however, it has great benefits, especially to the players.
“Therefore, I am urging all local teams to register for the league,” she explained.
Parents are requested to support their children who are participating in sports.

“Playing netball is an ideal way to interact and make friends.
“It keeps the children away from the streets. There are also valuable lessons to be learned from the sport, such as teamwork and improving social and verbal skills.
“It also provides a good cardiovascular workout.
“Overall, it is a fun sport that children enjoy,” she added.
