Police seek help in tracking down alleged kidnapper

“We are urging the community to report his whereabouts to the police and please do not approach him as he is still considered dangerous," he said.

Duduza – Duduza police are urging the community to help them track down Phumlani Praisegod Mahlobo, who allegedly kidnapped his five-year-old daughter last Saturday evening.
It is alleged Mahlobo visited the family home, where the child was in the care of her mother’s older sister, armed with a gun.
He then fled with the child.

On Sunday afternoon he returned the child to the family after seeing the incident was published on various media platforms.
Duduza police spokesperson Sgt Harry Manaka said the father is said to be residing in Pretoria and has relatives in Kwa-Thema.
“The father is, however, still at large and is being sought by police for charges of kidnapping, pointing of a firearm, as well as assault.
