Unemployed youth urged to refrain from responding to fake vacancies

The ANC Ekurhuleni Caucus is calling on the unemployed youth not to entertain the circulating notice on social media that ward councillors are recruiting for state-owned entities (SOEs).

Kwatsaduza – The ANC Ekurhuleni Caucus is calling on the unemployed youth not to entertain the circulating notice on social media that ward councillors are recruiting for state-owned entities (SOEs).
In the notice, interested volunteers are urged to consult with their respective ward councillors for the opportunity.
Chief whip of the Ekurhuleni ANC Clr Jongizizwe Dlabathi said they would like to put it on record that they do not know of such recruitment.

“We have not engaged with any organisation on such an initiative.
“As the public may know, councillors are not responsible for any job opportunity recruitment processes.
“We strongly believe that when the SOE is ready to roll out the initiative, it will prioritise the poor, especially the youth, women and people with disabilities,” he said.
