The body of a woman was discovered in Welgedacht on Wednesday morning.
The unidentified woman was found next to a mielie field along Carnation Road.
According to Capt Johannes Ramphora, communications officer at Springs Police Station, the victim was shot five times in the face.

“We need the community’s assistance in tracking down the victim’s family and to piece together what happened to her,” he said.
