Residents of informal settlements receive aid

Kasie Outreach donates clothes, toys and shoes to the informal settlement in Langaville.

Langaville – Faith-based organisation Kasie Outreach visited the community of Langaville on February 13.
The visit was part of their monthly community outreach programme to informal settlements within Ekurhuleni.
They donated clothes, toys and shoes to those in need.
Nine youth members from the organisation facilitate the initiative, including its founder, Simphiwe Malunga.

“We want to thank the community for welcoming us with warm hands and our keen donors for their assistance because without them there’s no outreach,” he said.
To date, hundreds of the City of Ekurhuleni’s informal settlement residents have benefited from the project.
Member of the Kasie Outreach initiative Bonakele Mokgabudi said it is important for the youth to become active citizens.

Residents of an informal settlement in Langaville came out in numbers to support the charity drive by Kasie Outreach.

“Charity begins at home and who better to be the driver than the youth?
“For me, charity work is of utmost importance with lots of values from which to learn.
