Kwa-Thema – A driver of a white Mercedes-Benz was hijacked along Masilela Street in Extension Three on Friday.
The incident took place just before 9pm as the victim arrived home and parked his car.
“He was about to exit his car when he noticed three men with firearms.
“He was ordered to keep quiet and one of the men took his key and jumped in the driver’s seat.
“He was then forced inside the vehicle along with the other men and they drove off with him,” explained Const Nkululeko Magudulela, communications officer at Kwa-Thema Police Station.

The hijackers later pulled over and forced the victim inside the boot.
He was then driven to an unidentified area and dropped off.
In addition to the car, the hijackers made off with the victim’s cellphone, valued at R2 700, and R400 cash.
The vehicle is yet to be recovered and no arrests have been made.
