Kwa-Thema – Study Workshops for learners who are in matric this year will commenced January 4 until February 16, 2021.
These workshops will be offered by student tutor Mlungisi Praisegod Buthelezi.
He started tutoring matriculants in 2004 and has worked with the Institute for Mathematics as a tutor.
He attended the University of Cape Town.
“The purpose for this is to attract highly motivated and dedicated learners to do well in their matric year, such that they are prepared to study in advance.
“Therefore, we need the talent that was in Grade 11 this year.
“Obviously, this initiative will not attract every learner due to its nature but we welcome everyone given that they will be willing to work with us,” he said.

Subjects offered are accounting, mathematics, mathematical literacy and physical science.
Classes will take place every Monday to Thursday from 8am to 6pm.
To secure space, an amount of R20 is required per child.
Space will be limited to comply with the Covid-19 safety regulations.
“Tutoring for me is one of those things I do out of the goodness of my heart.
“Being able to help keeps me hopeful about tomorrow, especially knowing that I have contributed to someone’s future.
“Also, this workshop will give learners an opportunity to learn outside of the classroom.
“They will get to ask questions and have that one-on-one session,” said Buthelezi.
