Motorist hijacked after buying airtime

“They searched him, took his money and cellphone and drove off in his white Mercedes-Benz."

Kwa-Thema – A resident was hijacked and robbed of his belongings after buying airtime at a local store on Saturday evening.
It is alleged the 56-year-old victim went to a tuck shop to buy airtime and was sitting in his car to load the airtime when four armed men opened his door.

Kwa-Thema police spokesperson Sgt Media Khoza said the gunmen pulled the victim out of the car and assaulted him.
“They searched him, took his money and cellphone and drove off in his white Mercedes-Benz.
“No shots were fired during the incident and the victim sustained minor injuries,” she explained.
