Six arrested in Duduza over the weekend

Duduza – Six men were arrested for various crimes in Duduza over the weekend.
The committed crimes included possession and selling of dagga, for which a 56-year-old man was arrested on Friday.
Duduza police spokesperson Sgt Harry Manaka said two people were arrested for selling liquor without a licence, which is in violation of the Gauteng Liquor Act.

“There was also an arrest of a man after a case of attempted rape was registered.
“This was after a female reported that she was sleeping in a vehicle when she was approached by a man known to her who undressed her and attempted to rape her.
“The police acted swiftly and arrested the man,” he said.

Manaka said the other arrests were for crimes including house break-in and theft, and driving under the influence of alcohol.
The arrested suspects will appear in the Nigel Magistrate’s Court soon.
