William turns 100 years old

Jiyane has eight children, 22 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Kwa-Thema – The Jiyane family came together to celebrate the life of William Jiyane, who turned 100 years old on October 10.

The centenarian was born in the Eastern Transvaal and moved to Kwa-Thema in 1962. He worked in New Era, Springs.
Jiyane has eight children, 22 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Letta Mazibuko said her great grandfather has been a blessing to them.
“We as a family are very grateful to have him in our lives.
“His time with us has been such a wonderful experience and a blessing.

“He has been a teacher, a great storyteller, a father and overall a great adviser throughout our
lives. We are thankful for each and every little thing he has done for us as a family and individually,” she stated.
Mazibuko added the secret to her great-grandfather reaching such a major milestone is eating healthy, especially organic foods, and having respect for others regardless of who they are or what they have.
