Help feed those in need

 Organisation continues to fight starvation

Kwa-Thema – NPO The Worse Is Never The Worst continues to address food inequality throughout Kwatsaduza and Springs.

While many people are facing difficulties and food shortages since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, founder of the NPO Nhlanhla Ndaba has been assisting families in need by making sure they don’t go to bed hungry.

The initiative started in May; Ndaba hasn’t looked back since.

“I feel so blessed to be able to help where I can because it is our duty as the community to uplift each other and protect one another.

“We are all facing challenges but if we do not stand together and lend a helping hand where possible then we are not going to make it,” said Ndaba.

The organisation is distributing food packages and hosting food stations where they provide cooked meals to individuals in need of a nutritious meal.

“We have been doing this for a couple of months now and I have always reached into my pockets to make sure we have all we need, but there’s still plenty which must be done.

“In order for us to achieve our goal we are going to need assistance from the community.

“Therefore, we are appealing to the public to kindly assist us with donations of food, such as maize meal, rice, vegetables, soup and canned food, which they are able to provide,” she said.

Ndaba can be contacted on 084 722 1261.
