Director of Isibusiso Nentokozo Property Investment Bongi Malete said, “Mr Nkosi is an elderly person who is sick with no one to care for him.

“He lives alone and is in a dire situation.

“As his neighbour, I saw his living conditions are not ideal, which is why I asked for help from my church to do something nice for him.”

Nkosi said having people who care for the elderly today is a blessing.

“Bongi has been assisting me for a while now because it is no longer safe to be old and have no one to care for you.

“With my health not in its greatest form, daily living is a challenge because there are a lot of things I am no longer able to do for myself.

“I am happy to see there are people who still care about the elderly in our community, and I would like to thank each and every person who made this whole process possible.”

“I will forever cherish it, especially after having spent so much time in isolation with the lockdown regulations.

“It is very nice to be out and of service to people who truly need it.

“We are grateful to Mr Nkosi for welcoming us into his home and allowing us to help him in time of need.”
