“When we ask the metro, they say it’s a post office problem.

The post office says it’s a metro problem.

We are sent from pillar to post, and the metro doesn’t want to take responsibility for the problem.

When I went to the customer service center, I was told to use the Siyakhokha website to access my statement.

It’s completely frustrating as there are many people who don’t have access to the internet, never mind knowing how to use the website,” says Jabulani Buda.

He says when he went to the customer service centre, there were many in the queue who had similar complaints about their statements.

Most infuriating for Buda is that the metro has all their details on file as evidenced by their ability to deliver suspension of services notices via email and to the resident’s front door.

“Why can’t they do the same for our rates bill?

Most of the time, I have to guess what amount I should be paying month-end based on how much I usually pay for services,” says Buda. The metro failed to respond in time for publication.
