Two more suspects arrested for dealing in and possession of drugs

The arrests brings the total number of people arrested for these cases to eight in the past seven days.

Duduza – Two men were arrested for possession and dealing in drugs on March 3.

The arrests brings the total number of people arrested for these cases to eight in the past seven days.

Duduza police spokesperson Sgt Harry Manaka says the arrests are as a result of intelligence-driven operations conducted by the crime prevention units in the area,” he explains.

Speaking after the arrests, Duduza SAPS station commander Lt Col Bheki Mhlungu said he remains hopeful that the fight against drugs will be won, even though it may not seem possible at the moment.

He encouraged his members not to despair, but to continue working hard to protect the community by removing drugs from the streets through arresting all known drug dealers.

“Drugs continue to destroy our communities, and as the police we will do all in our power to minimise the space for drugs and criminals in order to have a safer environment for our children.

“Police will not back down in the fight against drugs,” he adds.
