There was an attempted cash in transit robbery in Thema Road just after 4pm this afternoon (Wednesday).
An unknown number of suspects tried to attack a G4S van.
At this stage it is unclear if the suspects managed to get any cash or if there were any injuries.
Traffic on Thema Road is being diverted into Motsepe Road, just after the KwaThema Shopping Complex, as the police have cordoned off the crime scene.
The suspects are still at large.
