Gogo Selina says she feels Ngwenya has not shown remorse for his actions.

KwaThema – “We are pleading with the Springs Magistrate’s Court to revoke former Clr Zwelibanzi Gwenya’s bail, he doesn’t deserve to be roaming the streets of KwaThema freely.”

These were the words of the angry residents of KwaThema, and political parties, who marched to the Springs Magistrate’s Court on Friday.

The group handed over a memorandum to the senior magistrate of the court, Pravina Lazarus, outside the court.

PAC regional secretary Vumani Makhaya handed over a memorandum of grievances to the senior magistrate at Springs Magistrate’s Court, Pravina Lazarus.

She promised that the court would respond to the resident’s grievances tabled in their memorandum within 14 days.

The former councillor is charged with the attempted murder of Mxolisi Dludlu on December 24.

It is alleged the councillor’s brother was fighting with the victim, and the brother called the councillor to intervene.

“There is a special diet that the family has to buy for him daily, and we don’t have such funds.

“On Thursday doctors told us that we need to find a hospice to accommodate him because there is nothing they can do for him because his eyesight is completely damaged.
