Learners receive uniforms from police

The initiative was held in honour of the late Sonnyboy Masemola who was an active member of the CPF in Sector 1 and was part of the school governing body.

KwaThema – Learners from Fred Habedi Primary School received school uniforms from the KwaThema Community Policing Forum (CPF), in partnership with SAPS on Tuesday.

KwaThema police spokesperson, Const Media Khoza, says the initiative will be carried out annually.

“He believed in helping others and through this initiative we are hoping his legacy will live on.

“We are hoping that it will not only assist the community, but also strengthen partnership with the community in the fight against crime,” she says.

The acting station commander, Lt Col Nhlanhla Welcome Kunene, welcomed this initiative and committed to supporting such programmes as they will help fight social ills that are generators of crime.
