Community ground not maintained

“I have been reporting the state of our ground since last year without any success.

“My biggest concern is that the facility is posing a safety threat to our players and the community as well.

“We use it for training, which has been a challenge because the field is slippery due to high grass, and we are scared of snakes, as it is possible that there might be ones,” says Silinda.

She says that when reporting the matter, she was told graders are currently in Tembisa.

“I went to the customer care office to ask for assistance and I was told that graders are in Tembisa, which doesn’t make sense to me.

“How are they expecting us to be able to train and host matches if our ground is in such a state?” she asks.
