The suspects made off with valuables with an estimated value of R300 000.

Tsakane – A 50-year-old woman was shot during a house robbery in Clarendon, Nigel, on Tuesday afternoon.

The suspects made off with valuables with an estimated value of R300 000.

The woman was outside her home, doing laundry, when two men approached her and held her at gunpoint.

KwaThema police spokesperson Const Media Khoza says one of the suspects fired a shot on her left foot, held a firearm against her head and forced her inside the house.

“The suspects then allegedly tied her hands with an iron cord, pushed her inside the bathroom and closed the door.

“They stole jewellery, two cellphones, a red Ford Fiesta and drove off away,” explains Khoza.
