Social club helps learners in local primary school

“We reached out to our external sponsors for donations and we are grateful to have helped 110 learners.”

KwaThema- Bambisanani Social Club and Soul Buddyz donated sanitary towels to the learners of Job Maseko Primary School last Thursday.

This was done with the help of a local supermarket operating in Duduza.

Social Club chairperson Muzi Mdhluli says they identified a need to donate sanitary towels to the primary school learners.

“As a social club, we were approached by the school needing our help for some of the female learners from disadvantaged backgrounds.

“We were touched by the request because we don’t want any learners to miss a day of schooling because of this.

“We reached out to our external sponsors for donations and we are grateful to have helped 110 learners.

“The donation will last the learners for the rest of the year,” he explains.

Mdhluli is urging local business people to come forward in helping make the learning journey of learners from disadvantaged backgrounds bearable.

“These future leaders need our help to achieve their goals,” he adds.
