Grade 12 learners get a push in right direction

The speakers of the day will address issues such as the importance of having good role models, tertiary lifestyle and entrepreneurship.

KwaThema – KN Foundation will host the fourth annual Grade 12 Motivational Seminar on Saturday.

“We are happy to announce that this year we have invited the five secondary schools in Duduza.

“We are expecting 900 Grade 12 learners,” says Thokozani Dladla, chairperson of the foundation.

“There will be free Wi-Fi so that the learners can access websites to look for bursaries and download application forms.

“We will also be presenting lifetime awards to outstanding teachers who have been serving for 20 years and more.”

Top learners from 13 schools will receive certificates and prizes for their efforts.

The speakers of the day will address issues such as the importance of having good role models, tertiary lifestyle and entrepreneurship.

In the past three years, the foundation says it has donated more than 80 pairs of school shoes to learners at six primary schools.

They have also assisted three Grade 12 learners to register at the institutions of higher education with financial and non-financial assistance.

“Our mission is to inspire and influence the present and future generations of pioneers, creators and innovators to seize the limitless opportunities.

“We want them to realise their endless potential and achieve beyond their wildest dreams,” says Dladla.

The Grade 12 Motivational Seminar will take place on August 10 at the KwaThema Community Hall at 10am.
